Student Experiences
Since its founding, the Communiversity has celebrated real student success. Here are the stories of some of these achievements as expressed by our graduates.
Abubaker Samodien
I am Abubaker Seddiq Samodien. I graduated from high school in 2020 and received a Bachelor’s Pass. I applied to various universities and colleges but these colleges rejected my application because either they were full or because of my maths Matric results. That’s when I applied to Communiversity because I so badly wanted to further my education.
Ayongeswa Zozi
The first day I came to the Communiversity, I was a little bit skeptical. I didn’t know what to expect. In all honesty, I just came to pass the time because I was bored at home. Little did I know that this was going to be the one big step towards my future. The Communiversity has given me another perspective on life… so many opportunities to explore! I never thought I would be able to swim or even to debate. The whole experience has taken me out of my comfort zone into a new diversity.
Shana-Joy Jansen
I had finished my schooling at Wynberg Girls High school in 2014 and completed my first year of study at the University of Cape Town in 2015. I had always been a bright student. I had a lot going for myself until … I didn’t. Due to a variety of factors such as illness, drug […]
Sheraaj Vermeulen
I have benefited enormously from the Communiversity of South Africa! Here I discovered a love for maths via the excellent way our maths facilitator Ms. Lititia Van Neel taught us. I also grew fond of engineering science (taught by Mr. Daniel Meyer) that covered a great deal of physics, something I had never done in school […]
Yandisa Yadz
My name is Yandisa, a young man who came all the way from Eastern Cape, a man who classifies himself as a go-getter who believes in his dreams and is eager to learn from others. I came to Cape Town in 2009 for school but as time went by, I found myself doing some wrong […]
Catherine Asia
I didn’t even think of studying because of my age and because I have a family that I have to provide for. The Communiversity of South Africa opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities… They motivated me and brought the best of myself out that not even I knew was inside of me. The Communiversity showed me that I can become one of the top students, and I thought it would not be possible, because I had been out of school more than 15 years already. I became more confident and more open to communicate.
Anthony Gouw
I am really grateful for what the Communiversity put into me, and the hands-on experience I gained. Now I’m studying Business Management at False Bay College. Thank you, Communiversity!!
Caydon Stoffels
The Communiversity of South Africa staff came to my school and introduced the programme to us and to other schools in proximity. They then contacted me and gave me a more in-depth informative session about the offered courses, career assistance and guidance. I enrolled in the Communiversity and the 12 courses, including the TM meditation programme, […]
Chadley Gordon
I’m Chadley Gordon, 21 years old. This is my life- changing story that started when I entered the Communiversity of South Africa. I heard about them at my high school. They came and promoted their programme just like others did. I was definitely skeptical about their courses. But I joined anyway because I loved their […]

Bradley Koen
Being an ex- substance abuser, my life was a mess and the road to recovery has been a long and difficult one. A few months ago, it seemed as if I had no future at all and that the light at the end of the tunnel was unreachable. While facing this challenge with overwhelming emotions, […]
Marcelino Delcarme
I am Marcelino Delcarme, a 20-year-old Bachelor of Paralegal Studies student, studying at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). My name is Faeka Abrahams and I am 24 years old. Before I came to the Communiversity of South Africa, I was working at two different retail stores, and was stuck in my life. I realized I could not work for just some little amount of money but that I wanted to achieve something so I […]
Taugedah Davids
Before I joined the Communiversity, I was sitting at home and looking for work. It was a very difficult struggle to actually find a job. I was just there at home for six months, not knowing what to do until my mother saw something on Facebook about the Communiversity and asked me if I would […]
Christian Jeftha
My name is Christian Jeftha. I am from a small community on the Cape Flats in Cape Town called Vrygrond. I live near the West Coast so I do enjoy a fresh-caught fish. Sometimes I am the fisherman in that story. Coming from a disadvantaged family and growing up in a community like Vrygrond is […]

I walked into the Communiversity […]
